Working Papers

Students between the ages of 14 and 17 years are eligible for working papers.

All Students who live in Weston, whether or not they attend WHS, must have a completed Promise of Employment and submit a copy of  the following original documents: birth certificate, current passport or driver’s license.

The Promise of Employment must be on company letterhead and include hourly wage (currently minimum wage is $14.00), the hours per week and a DETAILED list of tasks (no vague descriptions like ‘cleaning’ are permitted).  These are State of Connecticut requirements, employers must comply with the state regulations.

Working papers are issued Monday-Friday between the hours of 7:30 a.m.-2:15 p.m.  Due to Covid-19 we can accept documentation via email.  If you are a WHS Student, you may also stop by the Main Office to drop off your paperwork to Mrs. Zarba for processing.  You may also scan and send all necessary paperwork to Monica Zarba at Please allow 24-hours from receipt of paperwork for working papers to be completed and sent to you.
