After School Activities
The Weston High School Student Activities program strives to provide co-curricular and service opportunities for students that extend skills, enhance a work ethic, promote self-realization and develop positive relationships, teamwork, and leadership skills.
The Weston High Community believes that for students to fully develop their personal potential they should be actively involved in both academic classes and co-curricular activities. Co-curricular activities are designed to meet a variety a student interests that complement and supplement the Mission and Expectations of Student learning.
The ARTS are a primary form of experience on which all cognition, judgment, and action depend. They furnish the raw material for concepts and ideals, for creating a world of possibilities. (Broudy)
COMPANY is the WHS Drama Club, which mounts at least 4 productions each year:1 straight play, 1 musical, 1 evening of One-Acts, and an evening of original student work. In addition to performing, students have the opportunity to work on Costume Crew, Art Crew, Set Design and Construction, Lighting Design and Implementation, Sound Design and Implementation, Production Staff and Backstage Crew. It is open to all students.
Parks and Recreation Programs
After-school Park and Recreation Department sports activities are seasonal and available to all Intermediate school students. Registration information is available at the Parks and Recreation Department, Weston Town Hall and in the Weston Forum. Flyers also go home with the students throughout the school year.
