Kindergarten Specific Information:

Dear Kindergarten Parent,

We would like to welcome your child to the class of 2034! We are looking forward to partnering with you as your child enters the Weston Public Schools.

We know that moving from a small preschool to kindergarten can be a big transition for some children and parents.  Based on our years of experience, we have found most children adjust to such moves very easily.  You will have opportunities to learn more about our school and program. We will send out an informational video by early spring and you will also have the opportunity to meet with one of us for an individual Zoom meeting.

Although it seems early for kindergarten registration, the information we collect through this process will help us to confirm the enrollment projections and to begin planning for the next school year.  The first step is for you to complete your online registration and follow the steps below. You can submit your documents to us in two ways: scan documents via email to [email protected] or drop off copies to our main entrance between the hours of 8:30 and 2:30 daily.

A completed registration packet includes the following:

  • Completed and printed Infosnap forms from the Hurlbutt website.  The link to the Hurlbutt “New Student Registration” is  https://westonps.org/district/student-registration/.

    • Utility bill – telephone, gas or electric

  • Completed blue State of Connecticut Health Assessment Record (Connecticut State Law forbids any child from beginning school without updated health records and immunizations.)  This form must be completed by your doctor and on file in the nurse’s office before your child starts school.  This record should be up-to-date through the 5-year old checkup, unless your child turns five after school begins.  If this is the case, the Health Assessment Record should be complete through the four-year old checkup and updated ASAP after your child turns five.  Please check with your doctor to assure that your child has received all immunizations required by the State of Connecticut to begin kindergarten.  Keep a copy of the health form for your records.

We cannot complete the registration for your child without: 1. completed registration packet, 2. proofs of residency, 3. birth certificate and, 4. health assessment record.

We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into our kindergarten program.
