Greetings WPS Families,

The following email was sent to Hurlbutt Elementary School families this morning:

Hurlbutt Elementary School

Dear Families,

This morning we asked students and staff to remain in their classrooms for approximately ten minutes of time while we managed a medical emergency.  I want to highlight that at no time was there any threat to our safety.  This was a medical emergency.  Our students remained in their classrooms and instruction continued with some minor adjustments to our schedule. Our staff handled the situation calmly and professionally.  

Please know that we will always communicate with families when possible and provide updates as appropriate. Your child's safety and well-being are our top priorities, and we appreciate your understanding and support as we work to respond to these situations with care and professionalism.
