Weston Public Schools is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer D’Amico as Principal of Weston Intermediate School.
Ms. D’Amico comes to Weston from the Darien Public Schools, where she has served as both Assistant Principal and Interim Principal of Hindley Elementary School. She is a long-time elementary educator, serving as an elementary classroom teacher in grades 2, 3, and 4, a math interventionist, and a leader of Professional Learning Communities.
The WIS Principal is a critical leadership role in the district. Ms. D’Amico emerged as an outstanding candidate in our rigorously designed selection process.
Regarding Ms. D’Amico’s appointment, Superintendent Barbiero said, “I was so impressed with Ms. D’Amico’s ability to connect educational outcomes with social emotional wellbeing. She exhibited a warm and approachable demeanor, yet demonstrated her unwavering commitment to upholding high expectations for students and staff. Ms. D’Amico will be an incredible leader, not only through her work at the Intermediate School, but also as a member of our district leadership team. We are so pleased to welcome her to the Weston community.”

Ms. D’Amico holds a Sixth Year Diploma in Educational Leadership from the University of Connecticut. She also holds a Bachelor’s in Elementary Education and Master’s in Education from the University of Connecticut.
Ms. D’Amico will begin her tenure as the leader of WIS on July 1, 2025, upon Pattie Falber's retirement.
