Message from the Human Resources Department
Dr. Paul RasmussenWeston Public Schools employs approximately 400 staff in a variety of roles to support our students in four schools, 117 acres of athletic fields and grounds, diverse educational programs and services, and co-curricular activities.  The employee groups include teachers, administrators, administrative assistant/support, computer technicians, para-educators, maintenance employees, groundskeepers, custodians, security specialists, nurses, and a variety of contract service personnel.

The Weston Public School system takes pride in its highly qualified teaching staff and provides teachers new to the school system a formal induction program, individualized staff development, teacher mentors, and curriculum specialist support.  Ongoing professional development is a major focus of the district; providing teachers with opportunities to be lifelong learners.

We actively recruit teachers, administrators, and other employees who are highly qualified, have a passion for educational excellence, and who enjoy working in a high-performing public education setting.  Weston Public Schools is a learning community that believes all students will benefit from a diverse and inclusive faculty. A school district where all are welcome and respected. We feel teachers and administrators from all backgrounds give essential value and an important perspective that will enhance our student’s education. We are committed to hiring individuals that best represent the global community and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment. Our community expects excellence, and the Human Resources Department is committed to recruiting educators and other employees who meet that expectation.

The Human Resources Department is dedicated to serving our staff and the community by providing a wide variety of services and opportunities.  Copies of all of our union agreements (including pay scales and insurance benefits) can be accessed on our website, and staff can access information and forms on the site regarding insurance benefits and payroll.  All open positions are posted on our site, and candidates can apply online and provide all necessary documentation.

We are extremely pleased with the quality of the teachers, administrators, and non-certified staff who joined us this year. They are a strong addition to our highly qualified team of educators and support staff.
